Duxbury (DBT) no Ref Code

Problem:

Duxbury asking to activate unexpectedly, when you attempt to activate you receive an error message and/or there is no “Ref code” number available.

Resolution:

When Duxbury activation fails and there is no “Ref code” number it means there has been a malfunction in the software activation system. To correct the issue take the following steps.

  1. Check that you have retained the Duxbury license text number.
  2. Then uninstall the software (if necessary log in as Administrator). This will correctly uninstall the license.
  3. After completing uninstallation, reinstall the software as normal.

You should then be able to reactivate the software now.
