Texthelp - Error 500: internal server error

Problem

When running Read and Write you get the following error:

Resolution

This problem can be caused when the build of Read and Write is an older version. Obtaining the latest build for your license shoudl fix the problem.

  1. With your browser go to:  www.texthelp.com/essential
  2. Fill out your product serial number.
  3. Click "install" and save the installer onto your computer.
  4. Right click the Start button and choose "apps and features".
  5. Search for "Read and write" or scoll to find its entry in the list of installed software and click "uninsstall".Remove the software by following the on-screen instructions.
  6. Return to where you downloaded the new setup file and run it.
  7. Follow the instructions to install again.
  8. When finished you can run Read and Write and it should start normally once you have filled out your name and email address.
