Texthelp - Offline activation for Read & Write
Problem
You need to activate Read and Write installed on an offline computer that doesn’t have an internet connection.
Applies to
• Read & Write (version 12.0.71 and above)
Resolution
You can carry out an offline activation if the online activation method is n ot working.
- Installed copy or Read and Write (offline computer)
- Another computer with internet connection to generate the activation credentials
- A USB stick to transfer the information.
- Please download the Offline Activation Tool.
- Then double click the file downloaded to run it, a new window will appear.

- Click the checkbox to allowq informatino to be gathered, then click Save button.
- Choose a save onto a USB stick if you have another computer or alternatively send this to Sight & Sound Technical Support as email attachment.
- Once the file is submitted together with the product serial number an activation can be creatred for for the license and sent back to activate the license.
