FS Auth – Authorization error 106 posted during activation


Problem

When attempting to authorize a Freedom Scientific BLV software product you receive the error code 106.

  5. Freedom Scientific Network License

An error with text below is posted during activation:

In order to activate a license on this computer you will need to contact your distributor or Freedom Scientific and request additional activations.  Please provide your product serial number or Authorization number along with your name when placing this request.  To contact Freedom Scientific directly you can email activate@fredomsientific.com or phone 727-803-8015.

 

Error code:  106

  

Resolution

  1. All ILM license for Freedom Scientific products have an allotment of license activation keys, when this is exhausted error Error 106 may be posted indicating no keys are available.
  2. Customers with single user license may click Software Activation Count Reset Request with to request replenishment.  
  3. Network and non-network multi-user license customers should contact Sight & Sound Technology for assistance resolving this query on by calling 01604 798 000 for support line or email:  support@sightandsound.co.uk
    Please include the product serial number and ILM code.

 

Activation for organisations and corporate users

To avoid future problems, once the reset has been completed use manual activation instead to activate your software:

  2. ZoomText/Fusion Manual Authorization
  3. Sentinel manual Network License authorizatiohn
