Fusion – Missing speech shortcuts when using laptop layout

Problem

After choosing to use the laptop keyboard layout in Fusion 2025 you notice some speech functions have lost keyboard shortctus.

Resolution

  1. When you set Fusion to use laptop shortcuts via the import button in the hotkeys dialogue you may encounter an issue where shortcuts for keyboard echo, mouse echo and verbosity are missing.
  2. We have verified with Vispero that this is not an oversight or error, it is the outcome of prioritising the ZoomText hotkey access with the more limited options available on a laptop keyboard.  You can manually assign comamnds to hotkeys as required.
