JAWS - Using command search to access JAWS features

Problem

A JAWS customer is unable to locate the keystroke for a function they have previously used or know exists in JAWS.

  1. JAWS
  2. Fusion

Resolution

The JAWS command search function allows you to search by name for specific JAWS features activated by keystroke.


Command search steps

  1. Press JAWSKey+Space, followed by letter J.
  2. A search edit box will be focused by JAWS into which you can type a search.
  3. Then use the up/down arrow keys to browser the result of the search.
  4. When on a item of interest press ENTER and JAWS can carry out that selected function.
  5. When finished press ESCAPE to leave search.
