MindManager – Crashing behaviour in restricted environments

Problem

A Mindjet Mind Manager user working within their organisation may experience problems with their software crashing.  An example of this is when creationg a new a new tag in a project.

  1. Mindjet Mind Manager 

Resolution

In many organisations users are logged in as limited users by their IT staff.  This can create problems with Mind Manager.  Please have the local IT staff carry out the steps as Administrator to fix the probhlem. 

  1. Open the Start menu then search Windows Security and click to open the result.
  2. Then choose App & Browser Control > Exploit Protection Settings.
  3. Then click Program Settings, then click the plus sign and select Exact File Path.
  4. Then navigate to the file:  mindmanager.exe
  5. In the newly appearing menu, disable the system settings under Randomize Memory Allocations.
  6. Then also select Don't Use High Entropy.
  7. Click Apply button and enter your Windows credentials to confirm the changes.
