Ruby - Replacing batteries (Ruby HD)

Problem

You need to replace the batteries in the Ruby HD magnifier.

Resolution

Replace the batteries with equivalent 1000 MAh rechargeable batteeries.

  1. Fully extend the handle, and remove the battery cover by sliding it in the direction of the imprinted arrow.
  2. Insert the batteries, replace the battery cover, and close the handle. Make sure that batteries are inserted using the correct polarity.

Charging

Connect the Ruby to mains power using the supplied power adaptor. When plugged in you should see a green flashing LED to indicate that the Ruby is charging.

Note:
If you see a solid red LED this indicates and error charging. Please unplug power and wait a few seconds then plug in again to see if the Ruby will charge then.
