Run Surface 4 diagnostic toolkit

Information

Use the instructions below to run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit in case of malfunction with a device.

Steps

  1. Click Start button and search Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and run it. If it is not found you can open the Window Store app and download it.
  2. In the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit app follow the on screen prompts to conduct a test of the machine which should take approximately 15 minutes to carry out.

Report any error codes to support for analysis.
