ZoomText/Fusion - Disable Welcome screen

Problem

An IT technician or user wishes to disable the display of the ZoomText welcome screen that appears when ZoomText first starts.

Applies to

  1. ZoomText/Fusion

Resolution

Use one of the methods below to disable welcome screen pop up.  Method 1 is best for end users, method 2 best for IT staff.

Method 1 - within the welcome screen pop-up

  1. When the Welcome screen pops up pan to the lower half below the hotkeys.
  2. The click Do Not Show Again check so it is unchecked.
  3. Then click close on the window.

Method 2 - Disable in preferences

  1. Click ZoomText taskbar button to open the ZoomText window.
  2. Then click ZoomText menu > Preferences > Program.
  3. In the dialogue look under Startup, the click to uncheck the item:  “Show ZoomText Welcome Screen at startup”
  4. Then click OK and restart ZoomText to confirm.
