BrailleSense 6 – Slow boot after updating to Firmware 2.1

Problem

A customer notices that after updating from firmware 1.7 or earlier it takes longer for the BrailleSense 6 to boot.

Resolution

  1. The developers have stated this is a side effect of updating to Android 12 which is contained in the Firmware 2.0 and 2.1 updates.
  2. No further optimization of the software is possible to reduce boot time.
