Problem
An IT Technician working in a controlled IT environment needs to activate a Duxbury Braille Translator but controls user login and Internet connection do not permit activation of a license using automatic activation method.
Resolution
You can use an email address to supply the necessary information to Duxbury using an email address.
- Log into the machine as Administrator.
- Launch DBT and click License button when it appears.
- Click Next button in the activation wizard to proceed.
- Then choose License And Activate This Computer > Start A New Activation Without Internet > Activate By Email.
- You will then be asked to supply relevant license text information to send to activate@duxsys.com for getting your Activation code and Confirmation code.
- You can then go back through the activation wizard choosing License And Activate This Computer > Complete My Pending Activation, I Have Received My Activation Code and click Next button.
- Enter the information to send to Duxbury to activate the software.
- After Duxbury respond re-enter the activation wizard and choose License And Activate This Computer > Complete My Pending Activation, I Have Received My Activation Code.
- Enter the Activation Code and Confirmation Code that have been sent to complete activation of the license.
