DBT - Activate by email

Problem

An IT Technician working in a controlled IT environment needs to activate a Duxbury Braille Translator but controls user login and Internet connection do not permit activation of a license using automatic activation method.

Resolution

You can use an email address to supply the necessary information to Duxbury using an email address.

  1. Log into the machine as Administrator.
  2. Launch DBT and click License button when it appears.
  3. Click Next button in the activation wizard to proceed.
  4. Then choose License And Activate This Computer > Start A New Activation Without Internet > Activate By Email.
  5. You will then be asked to supply relevant license text information to send to activate@duxsys.com for getting your Activation code and Confirmation code.
  6. You can then go back through the activation wizard choosing License And Activate This Computer > Complete My Pending Activation, I Have Received My Activation Code and click Next button.
  7. Enter the information to send to Duxbury to activate the software. 
  8. After Duxbury respond re-enter the activation wizard and choose License And Activate This Computer > Complete My Pending Activation, I Have Received My Activation Code.
  9. Enter the Activation Code and Confirmation Code that have been sent to complete activation of the license.
