Freedom Scientific - ARM processor support in JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion

A customer would like to know if Freedom Scientific products JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion work on ARM processor machines.

Resolution
Windows ARM is a new platform based on use or ARM processor technology. Many mainstream applications now supportr this technology and more recently so do Freedom Scientific BLV products. Please find below the status of Windows ARM64 support with Freedom Scientific BLV products:
- From JAWS 2023 ARM64 support has been available using a dedicated installer for ARM based Windows. From JAWS version 2025 support for ARM64 has been brought into the main installer which auto-detects Windows ARM64 operating system and installs apropriate support automaitcally.
- From 2025 onwards ZoomText and Fusion also support ARM64 Windows installations via the main installer also.
Features not yet supported
The following features are not currently supported:
- CITRIX Remote
- Convenient OCR from scanner or camera
- Dongle authorisation
- Braille support - limited to Focus Braille displays only
