FS Auth - Missing SMA counts on license (JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion)
Problem
A customer with a Freedom Scientific product JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion after having recently purchased an SMA for their product discover their SMA counts are missing from their local authorisation when they check in the About product dialogue for JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion product.

Detail
After purchase of an SMA Freedom Scientific will add two extra versions beyond the current shipping version when the SMA was purchased. The change is normally reflected in the online authorisation found at FSActivate website, for dongle users a DATH update file is required to add the SMA counts.
Resolution
- Check the local ILM authorisation for JAWS or ZoomText/Fusion for reference. This will tell what authorisation status of the local authorisation only.
- Now check the status of the online ILM license using wwwFS Auth - Check ILM product license online using FSActivate website.FSActivate website. This will usually provide the correct information about the SMA counts even when it is not reflected in the local authorisation.
- If a customers discovers the local authorisation is missing SMA counts that show on the online report they can use the online or offline activation process to bring their local license current with the SMA counts.
- Any customers using USB dongle authorisation can check dongle authorisation and if necessary should contact Sight & Sound Technical Support by phone on 01604 798 000 or email support@sightandsound.co.uk for assistance. Please have your serial number handy so we can check status for you.
