FS Remote – Using Microsoft AppV with JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion
Problem
You wish to know if the Freedom Scientific products JAWS, ZoomText and Fusion will work when hosted on Azure Virtual Desktop under AppV for the purpose of Remote Access operation.
Applies to
- JAWS/ZooomText/Fusion
Resolution
Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) for Windows delivers Win32 applications to users as virtual applications. Virtual applications are installed on centrally managed servers and delivered to users as a service in real time and on an as-needed basis. Users launch virtual applications from familiar access points and interact with them as if they were installed locally.
Exclusion List
JAWS and ZoomText will work fine with applications running in App-V containers provided they exclude the shared components listed below from being virtualized.
