FS Remote – Test Remote Desktop Connection
Problem
A JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion having problems using Remote Access may wish to run a check on the status of Virtual Channels.

Resolution
One can check the status of Virtual Channels for Remtoe Desktop/CITRIX to ensure that Virtual Channels are available during Remote Access operation.
One may check on both the client copy of the software and also the Remote copy of the software and provide this information to technical support in the event of problems with this feature.
JAWS
- Press JAWSKey+J to open the JAWS window.
- Then press ALT+O to open Options menu.
- Then choose Remote Desktop, then press ENTER.
- In the Remote Desktop dialogue press TAB key to move to Test Connection button, then press SPACEBAR. A new window will open testing the connection.
- Use UP/DOWN ARROW keys to review the report, if possible please send a screenshot.
ZoomText/Fusion 2026 and later
- Press CONTROL+CAPSLOCK+U to open the Fusion main window.
- Then press ALT+F to open Fusion menu.
- Then press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to locate Help, then press ENTER.
- Then select Technical Support > Remote Desktop.
- Then press TAB or click the Test Connection button.
- Use UP/DOWN ARROW keys to review the report, if possible please send a screenshot.
