Index v3 reset

Problem

You identify a problem with Index V3 embosser and determine a reset may resolve the issue.

Resolution

  • The following will reset the firmware on the Index v3 embossers back to default. It is more in-depth than the standard setting reset.
  • It may also help with issues such as misaligned Braille dots.

Reset methods

For both resets please press the buttons in a quick order after each other. The embosser will beep and then restart.

  • Soft reset: press HELP+A+B+C
  • Full reset: press HELP+A+B+C+A+B+C
