JAWS - Refworks Citation Manager accessibility
Problem
A JAWS customer needs to use Refworks but is having problems with accessibility.
Detail
The details provided here are related to discussion with Vispero regarding JAWS accessibility with the Refworks Citation Manager Word add-in. This software supports management of academic citations but does not speak with JAWS when focused is moved to it to provide access to the interface.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue one of the solutions below may be employed:
- Attempt to change the setting for the JAWS Accessibibility Driver to improve accessibility to the software.
- If the above fix does not resolve the problem, the only other option would be to have JAWS professionally scripted for the scenario subject to cost.
