JAWS – Microsoft Project support status

Problem

A JAWS user needs to use Microsoft Project software but the application does not speak well and support for it appears to be missing.

 

Resolution

For some time JAWS has provided out of the box support for Microsoft Project database software. From version 2024 and above this support has been removed for the application. 
If a user needs to access this software active development of the scripts has ceased.  The only means to acquire this support is via the attached zip download to import the scripts from JAWS 2023.

  1. Please use this link to download Microsoft Project JAWS scripts.zip.
  2. Copy all the files contained into windows clipboard.
  3. Press WINDOWS+R to open Run command.
  4. Then copy and paste the text below into the edit box, if required adjust the year version to match that of the currently installed JAWS, then press ENTER:

    C:\ProgramData\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\2025\Scripts

  5. Then press CONTROL+V to paste the scripts into the folder.
