JAWS - Microsoft Project support status

Problem

A JAWS user needs to use Microsoft Project software but the application does not speak well and support for it appears to be missing.

Resolution

For some time JAWS has provided out of the box support for Microsoft Project database software. From version 2024 and above this support has been removed for the application. 
If a user needs to access this software active development of the scripts has ceased.  The only means to acquire this support is via the attached zip download to import the scripts from JAWS 2023.

  1. Please use this link to download Microsoft Project JAWS scripts.zip.
  2. Copy all the files contained into windows clipboard.
  3. Press WINDOWS key then search Utilities and pick the Utilities - JAWS result in the list, then press ENTER.
  4. Press letter E to navigate to Explore My Settings, then press ENTER.
  5. Then press CONTROL+V to paste the script files into the settings folder.
  6. Launch Microsoft Project, then press JAWSKey+Q and JAWS should announce that Microsoft Project settings are loaded.
