JAWS - Read a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation
Problem
A JAWs user who has a Powerpoint presentation file loaded into Microsoft Powerepoint wishes to read the presentation slideshow.
Applies to
- JAWS and Microsoft Powerpoint
Resolution
- With the Powerpoint file loaded press F5 to start the slideshow from the first slide.
- Press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to read any slide text.
- When the last line is reached press SPACEBAR to advance to the next slide.
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 to finish reading the Powerpoint presentation.
- Press ESCAPE to exit the slide show.
Speaker Notes
Users who are giving presentations with Powerpoint may also read the Speaker Notes for a given slide using the keystroke CONTROL+SHIFT+N.
