JAWS - Setting and returning to placemarker in Word documents

Problem

A JAWS user in Microsoft Word wishes to set a placemarker and then return to it later.

Applies to

  1. JAWS and Microsoft Word

Resolution

One can set a placemarker in a Microsoft Word document at any point.  Later one can return to that position in the document at will.

Set a placemarker

  1. Move to position in text to create placemarker.
  2. Then press CTRL+WINDOWS Key+K to set the placemarker.
 

To return to a placemarker

  1. Press JAWSKey+Z in Word go engage Quick Navigation keys.
  2. Then press B to navigate to next bookmark Then press JAWSKey+Z to disable Quick Navigation keys.
