JAWS - Spell out an email sender's name
Problem
When using the Outlook classic email client you wish to spell out the name of an email contact from yoru inbox.
Applies to
- JAWS and Outlook classic
Resolution
The instructions below assume that you have recieved a message in Outlook classic for a contact in your inbox or other folders you wish JAWS to spell out their name/email address:
- In the Outlook message list view navigate to the email you wish to investigate, then press ENTER to open the message.
- With the message open Hold down ALT and press 1 twice within a second.
- Then press CONTROL+SHIFT+LEFT ARROW, this will highlight the contact name.
- Then press JAWSKey+Number 5 twice within a second to have it spell out the contact and email address.
- Then take action eg. reply to the message as you wish.
