Create the signature file

  1. With the blank paper write your signature in the upper left portion of a blank piece of paper, making sure it is not too close to the edges of the paper, and that there is not too much spacing between the different parts of the name.
  2. Then open Scan menu and select Create a Signature File, then press ENTER or press the hotkey sequence ALT+S+C.
  3. A new dialogue window will then appear instructing you to place the work onto the scanner, when ready press ENTER to proceed, otherwise press ESCAPE to concal the operation.
  4. A dialog appears displaying the signature. You can increase or decrease magnification in this dialog by using CONTROL+UP arrow and CONTROL+DOWN arrow to make sure the signature is fully visible in the window.  Confirm the image by pressing ENTER key or or ALT+O for OK. To discard the current signature, press ESCAPE or ALT+C for Cancel.
