Microsoft - Install Office 365 applications (DSA)

Problem

A DSA student customer needs to download and activate Microsoft Office 365 apps.

Details

  1. For DSA students Microsoft offer a free Office 365 license through most Higher Education institutions for the duration of their study. All that is generally required are the student email/password credentials for that academic institution to sign in and download their software.  When the software opens they can then sign in to activate the license.
  2. Customers who have purchased a Microsoft Office licenses directly may have a product key to enter instead.

Resolution

  1. Visit www.office.com and sign into your account using the credentials of the academic institution.
  2. Then click Install software button, a download will begin and installation started.
  3. Follow the on screen prompts to finish set up.
  4. Once setup if finished open a Microsoft Office app and sign in using the same academic credentials to download the license.
