Microsoft - Remove Outlook email accounts

Problem

A user wishes to remove an email account created in Outlook (Classic) they no longer need or that is causing problems when Microsoft Outlook is opened.

Applies to

  1. Microsoft Outlook (Classic)

Resolution

  1. Open Start menu, then search Control Panel,. then click the result.
  2. In Control Panel click the View By drop down box in the top right and choose Large Icons or Small Icans.  
  3. Then click Mail (Microsoft Outlook).
  4. Then click the Email Accounts button.
  5. In the list click to highlight the mail account to remove then click Remove and follow any prompts.
  6. When you have removed all accounts launch Outlook to set up any accounts you need to regain access to your emails.
