Pearl – Activating the camera light source
Problem
A user may need to activate the Pearl camera light when ambient lighting conditions do not allow Pearl to capture a good picture.
Resolution
Method 1 – When using Openbook
Within Openbook use the hotkey Control+L to toggle the light source on or off.
Method 2 – When using JAWS
To activate the light source open JAWS window > Utilities > Convenient OCR > Camera and Scanners > Light (drop down).
Hotkey = Jawskey+space, O, A layered keystroke
Third party apps
Light adjustment is not supported in third party applications even with FSCam driver installed.
