Texthelp - Read and Write does not work as expected in Microsoft Word

Problem

Read and Write does not appear to be reading or performing its normal actions in Microsoft Word.

Resolution

  1. Open Microsoft word.
  2. Click File > Options > Add-ins.
  3. Click the “Go” button next to “com add-ins” drop down near the bottom of the options window.
  4. A “Texthelp” add-in should be listed and checked, if this is not checked, please click to check it and click “OK” button.
  5. Close and restart Microsoft Word and try the Read and Write functionality that appears to be broken again.
