Read&Write – Install and activate software for Mac OS

Information

Below are details for downloading, installing and activating Read and Write for Mac OS.

Step 1 – Downloading

  1. Please click this link to visit the Read and Write page for accessing the download:
  2. www.texthelp.com/essentials
  3. Enter the Read and Write product serial number and click Login button:
  1. Then click the Install link on the page


Step 2 – Installation

  1. After downloading open the folder on your Mac (usually Downloads) and rouble click Read&Write.dmg file.
  2. On the screen below drago the Read&Write icon into the Application folder to the right. You will then see the file being copied into the Applications folder.
  3. Go to Applications (Finder > Go > Applications and double click to launch the software. You may be asked to confirm to open the application, this is normal click Open button.
  1. Upon opening another prompt may appear asking to confirm security permissions required to allow it to work properly. Follow the on screen instructions.
  1. Click on Security and Privacy, then click the padlock on the bottom left of the window and authorise using your login password.
  2. Then click click the checkbox next to the Read&Write icon and click Continue button. The result should look similar to the below screen.
  1. The Read&Write icon appears in the menu bar at the top right, you may be prompted to respond to the license agreement. Please click the option “I accept the license agreement” then click OK to proceed.

  2. You must sign in with your email address (normally your personal email address as opposed to one from college or university). Click the Read&Write icon to open and then choose an appropriate button from those shown to sign in.

Step 3 - Activate the license

  1. Click Read&Write menu (top left) and choose About Read&Write.
  1. Then enter the Read&Write product code into the edit box in the dialogue box and click Activate.
