Texthelp – Read & Write does not launch or stops responding in Tahoe

Problem

A Read & Write for Mac user encounters a problem where the app fails or luanch or when after luanching goes into 'not responding' status.

Resolution

  1. The problem:  The developers have informed us of a known issue that can cause Read & Write for Mac to fail to launch or become unresponsive ('not responding; status) on systems running Mac OS Tahoe 26.
  2. What is being done:  The developers (Everway) are working a fix which is available via this direct downlload link:   https://fastdownloads2.texthelp.com/readwritemac7/installers/read&write.dmg
  3. Advice:  If your Mac is still on Mac OS Sequoia (version 15.x) download and install from the link above before updating to Mac OS Tahoe to minimise any disruption.

Apply the Read & Write update fix

  1. Click the link:  https://fastdownloads2.texthelp.com/readwritemac7/installers/read&write.dmg to start the download.
  2. When completed open the DMG disk image file, it should open a new window requesting agreement with the license agreement, click Agree button to continue.
  3. A Finder window shoudl open showing the updated Read & Write app.  Please drag and drop into the Applications folder, when asked to confirm click Replace button.  The software should now be updated and run as expected.
