Texthelp – Read & Write does not launch or stops responding in Tahoe

Problem

A Read & Write for Mac user encounters a problem where the app fails or luanch or when after luanching goes into 'not responding' status.

Resolution

  1. The problem:  The developers have informed us of a known issue that can cause Read & Write for Mac to fail to launch or become unresponsive ('not responding; status) on systems running Mac OS Tahoe 26.
  2. What is being done:  The developers (Everway) are working a fix which will be available soon.
  3. Advice:  If your Mac is still on Mac OS Sequoia (version 15.x) do not respond to update notifications in case it is the Tahoe 26 update until a fixed version is available (it is safe to update to 15.7.3).
