SmartVision 3 - Change screen reader voice

Problem

A SmartVision 3 owner wishes to change the voice of the screen reader.

Applies to

  1. SmartVision 3

Resolution

  1. From the Home screen press MENU key.
  2. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Talkback Accessibility > Text to speech Settings > Preferred Engine > Settings button.
  3. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Install Voice Date, then press OK.
  4. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select English United Kingdom (or another language), then press OK.
  5. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select the Play button immediately after the voice number option to audition the voice.
  6. When you find a voice that works highligh using UP/DOWN arrow keys then press OK to select it for install.
  7. When done press HOME button to return to standby screen.
