SmartVision 3 – Change speech rate

Problem

A SmartVision 3 user needs to change the speechrate of the Talkback screen reader on their device.

Resolution

Please use the steps below to access the speech rate settings.

  1. Press MENU key.
  2. Then press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to find TalkBack Accessibility, then press OK.
  3. Press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select Text To Speech then press OK.
  4. Press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select Speech Rate then key DOWN ARROW to reach the speech rate slider, then press OK.
  5. Then use LEFT/RIGHT ARROW key to adjust speech rate, then press OK to save the setting.
  6. Then press HOME key to go back to the home screen.
