SmartVision 3 – Send an email

Problem

A SmartVision user wishes to send an  email to an existing contact.

Applies to

  1. SmartVision 3

Resolution

You can use the voice dictation to compose and send an email using the steps below.

  1. Open Gmail app.
  2. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to find Compose, then press OK.
  3. At the To: edit press OK to open the keyboard then press Voice button to dictate your contact.  If your user has been using Gmail for a while or you have email contacts store it should be able to find them, you can press down arrow to view any matches then press OK to select them.
  4. Then navigate down to Subject and add that the same way.
  5. Then add your text by doing the same.
  6. When everything is done navigate up to Send then press OK, email is sent.
