Transformer HD - Software installation problem on Windows

Problem

When installing Transformer HD Software the installer fails with error "At least one valid and enabled repository required for this action”.


Applies to

  • Transformer Wi-Fi
  • Transformer Wi-Fi OCR


Resolution

This problem occurs because the installer checks the name of the USB media it is run from.

  • Please ensure it is named “TRANSFORMER” without the quotes then run the installation again.

Detailed Steps

  1. Plug in the USB media the installer is being run through.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and then click on “This PC” to view all drives attached.
  3. Right click the USB drive the installer is hosted on, then click Properties.
  4. In the dialogue observe the highlighted name for the USB drive, type to replace the existing name with TRANSFORMER then click Apply and OK buttons to save the change.
  5. Then run the installer as normal which should now work.
