TSS – Configure Viewplus Columbia settings for paper size 8.5 by 12 inch paper

Problem

A customer using a Viewplus Columbia embosser needs to configure TSS so it embosses correctly with their Viewplus embosser.

  1. Viewplus Columbia embosser

Resolution

  1. Open Microsoft Word, make a new document. 
  2. Then open the Profile settings to check the configuration.
  3. In the TSS Profile, under the Page Layout tab, Select the ViewPlus Columbia, and the paper size German Std Fanfold.
  4. Under the Braille Settings tab, select English (Unified), and Grade 2 unless the reader has another preference.
  5. Set the Default Translatable Font to Any.
  6. Save the profile, type a few words and save the document.
  7. Press Alt, Y2, X to translate the document. (Y2 works for most installations but it can be Y1 in some cases.)
  8. The page should be formatted and translated as specified above. 
  9. Press Ctrl-P, Enter to emboss.
