ZoomText – Check version and authorisation status from 'About ZoomText' window
Problem
A ZoomText/Fusion user would like to verify their version and authorisation status.
Resolution
The following methods will work regardless whether you are using ILM or Dongle Authorisation provided authorisation is present.
Method 1 – Using the mouse (2024 and above)
- Click the ZoomText taskbar button to open the ZoomText/Fusion main window.
- Click ZoomText/Fusion menu on the left.
- Then click Help > About ZoomText/Fusion.
- Information regarding version and serial number, any SMA counts and options will then be read out automatically.
Method 2 – Using keystrokes
- Press CONTROL+CAPSLOCK+U to open the main ZoomText/Fusion window.
- For ZoomText press ALT+Z or Fusion press ALT+F to open the main menu.
- Down arrow to Help and press ENTER.
- Then press DOWN ARROW to reach About ZoomText/Fusion and press ENTER.
- Information regarding version and serial number, any SMA counts and options will then be read out automatically.
Note
If when checking the about screen the product serial number is shown as 801 this indicates the product is not authorised yet and is running in demo mode, time left on the demo is also indicated.
