DSA - App installer in ZIP file fails

Problem

A customer attempts to run an installer contained within a ZIP file that fails to complete.

Resolution

  1. A ZIP file is a compressed archive, many installers will fail to work properly because they do not have sufficient access to the file system or other components upon which they rely.
  2. Please use these steps to unpack and then run the installer to ensure it completes.

  1. Rick click the ZIP file then choose "Extract all".
  2. Click through to complete the wizard.
  3. Upon completion the wizard will display the uncompressed contents in a new folder.
  4. Double click the installer to begin installation.
