FS Auth - 40 minute demo expired after restart
Problem
A Freedom Scientific product that was running in 40 minute demo mode now only posts a message saying the demo time has expired.
Applies to
- JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion
Resolution
When no authorisation is detected by Freedom Scientific products they will attempt run in a 40 minute demo mode. However after Windows 7.0 computer systems do not always fully reset the 40 minute timer for the next restart so that when the product is launched a notification is posted that the 40 minute demo period has expired. The software will then continue to post this warning whenever the software launches. To resolve this problem one can disable Windows fast-startup feature with very negligible or no penalty in start up time.
