FS Auth - Transfer network license to new server
Problem
A customer organisation has a Network License for Freedom Scientific BLV products JAWS/ZoomText/Fusion need to retire an old Sentinel License server to put a new on in it's place.

Resolution:
The Sentinel network license cannot be directly transferred to new hardware, however it will be possible to set up a new server with license by going through the process below.
- Gather the serial number for your license. Get this from Help > About dialogue in the Freedom Scientific client application, or search Utilities and open the group for your Freedom Scientific product and choose ILM Authorization viewer..
- Contact Technical Support by email support@sightandsounc.co.uk or call 01604 798 000 for our support line and explain you need to transfer network license to a new machine. Technical support will take this information and ensure there is an activation to download for the new server machine.
- Meanwhile download Sentinel Network License software for the new server machine and have it installed..
- Technical Support should respond confirming that the license is ready to go on the new machine and advise how to disable the old server in preparation for deploying the new server.
- Activate the license on the new server using the 20 digit ILM authorization code, if you do not have this ask Technical Support.
- Finally, test network clients to ensure they are able to
see the new license. If the server
appears to be running but the client does not pick up Authorization some additional steps may be required.
