HP Deskjet 2710/2710e prints out incomplete, poor quality or blank pages (head clean solution)

Problem:

When you ask the HP 2710 to print it produces incomplete or blank pages.

  • HP Deskjet 2710 and 2710e

Resolution:

Things to consider:

  • Check that ink levels are good on the printer and replace emtpy ink.
  • If the printer has been idle for a while and not used regularly ink can clog the nozzles, more than one clean may be necessary to clear dried in blockage.
  • Open the start menu and search “HP Smart” and run the app.
  • On the initial page it show your printer and display ink levels, if the ink levels are very low it will be time to install a new set. If the levels look OK proceed to the next step.
  • Then choose the “Printer settings” button.
  • Then select “Print quality tools” on the left hand side.
  • Then choose the option “Clean print heads” option.
  • The printer will afterwards print a test page, if all is OK then click “Done” button.
  • If the printout still does not appear choose the “Deep Cean” button. The printer will then perform a deep clean.
