Index V5 – Setting paper settings in Braille Layout menu

Information

The Index embosser must be configured properly for the paper size being used. This is especially important either when changing form one size to another or where using a Braille translator whose settings do not affect output directly.

Steps

First select the Braille Layout wizard using the steps below:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the down arrow to Braille Layout, then the right arrow key to open the wizard.
  3. Press the down arrow to select Edit active layout, then the right arrow key to edit the desired layout.
  4. Press the OK button on Standard Wizard.

From here, you can change settings listed below:

  • Paper size
  • Print type (double/single sided)
  • Lines per page
  • Top margin
  • Braille page number
  • Characters per line
  • Binding margin

Navigation principle

  • To navigate between the options, press the left/right arrow keys.
  • To change an option, press OK to select it.
  • Then press up/down arrow keys to select the preferred option, and press OK again to save it.
  • Once having completed changing settings, press the right arrow key until you get to "Wizard Completed", then press OK.
  • Then press Menu to close the menu.
