JAWS - Enable mouse echo

Problem

A JAWS user wishes to enable the Mouse Echo feature in JAWS to read items under the mouse pointer.

Applies to

1. JAWS

Resolution

1. Press JAWSKey+F2 and use UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select Settings Centre then press ENTER.
2. At the search box enter Mouse Echo.
3. Then press DOWN ARROW to Allow Mouse Echo, then press SPACEBAR to check it.
4. Then press TAB key to move to Apply button and press SPACEBAR.
5. Then press ENTER to close Settings Centre.
   

Note

This feature may not be available in very old versions of JAWS, the above instructed are tested back to JAWS 2022.
