JAWS – Take a screenshot in Windows using keystrokes

Problem

A JAWS user wishes to take a screenshot from their system in order obtain help from Sight & Sound  technical support for a problem.

Resolution

Before carrying out the below steps set up the screen to illustrate the problem you are having.  

  1. Press SHIFT+WINDOWS+S
  2. Then press TAB to reach Snipping Area drop down and press ALT+DOWN ARROW.
  3. Press UP/DOWN ARROW to find the option Full Screen then press ENTER.
  4. Then screen shot will be taken
  5. Then open a reply to support and enter any supporting text for the problem.
  6. Then press CONTROL+V to paste in the screenshot and send the email to support@sightandsound.co.uk.

Tip
You can also press PRINTSCREEN key to take a full screen shot.
