PIAF – Guidance on using Zychem swell paper to make tactile documents
Problem
A PIAF user requires guidance on creating tactile images
on swell paper for use with the PIAF machine.

Resolution
Please see the recommendations below.
- Printed images must be in black ink to be made tactile. Colour does not normally work.
- You can either
use a inkjet printer or photocopier with the paper, be careful to make sure that the correct side of the media is used.
- After printing
avoid touching the paper and allow to dry for at least 10 minutes before
handling and putting through PIAF machine.
