Tip:
Many common settings can be adjusted via the Startup Wizard that runs shortly after JAWS starts the first time.  If you need to you can restart the JAWS Startup Wizard to guide you through the most common adjustments in a settings wizard format.

  1. Set up auto-start
  2. Set voice adjustments
  3. Set Eloquence speech to British English speech
  4. Add Vocalizer Expressive voices
  5. Set typing echo
  6. Set speech verbosity
  7. Set alternate uppercase letter indication (word or sound)
  8. Set mouse echo
